Mitch Larson's grandfather on his mother's side, William Bunda, loved his Chris-Craft, the Bun-E. In early September of 1949, he gathered friends and family for a cruise to Mackinac Island. Aboard for the trip: William & Alma Bunda, Clyde & Myla Casperson, Dick & Virginia Weisgerber, Audrey Bunda Schram, Arlene Champeau (Kwaterski), Jack Bunda and Wink Larson.
